I grew up in the 40s & 50s soaking up the cartoons in The Saturday Evening Post, Colliers and other magazines my parents had around the house and I was enthralled with the work of Syverson and Gallagher. Syverson's spots for the humor section, Post Scripts, were priceless pieces, full of energy and wit. I wasn't ever as comfortable with a brush as I was with a pen, but those guys made me want to become a brush man.Elwood H.
