Here I am standing in the driveway, with my arm out to show the height of the drifts. I've basically snowblown a tunnel for our car.
And there's another 6-10 inches predicted for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arrrgh!!
Spring is coming. Spring is coming. Spring is coming. It helps to mutter this all day long.
Well, to be fair Mike, you're only four feet tall, so....
ReplyDeleteThat big move from Brooklyn to New Hampshire sure seemed like a good idea at the time, didn't it? But I grew up with snow (South Dakota) and never get any where I live now, so I almost--almost--envy you a little.
Nah, I'm kidding.
I'm feeling nostalgic, looking at your picture. As bad as it is, there's a certain pride in standing tall against the elements. Even if you are four feet tall.
ReplyDeletethat's wild. In Chicago, we've had two huge snows like that one in 1968 and one in 1979. The city didn't have anywhere to put the snow, so they piled it in public parks, so that they all had these snow mountains in the middle of them. When snow is that high it feels like it will never melt.
ReplyDeleteSo did you get another foot, Mikey?
ReplyDeleteBrian and Mark: I'm mailing you a big box of snow for you to get nostalgic over!
ReplyDeleteJohnny, that's wild! Giant peaks of snirt (snow & dirt) in the public parks! I wonder why they didn't dump it into the lake, though.
Mark: we got another 6-8 inches on Saturday. So, we got at least 108 inches total this winter.
