Russ Maheras shows us some early gag cartoons by Harvey Kurtzman. All are from 1945 issues of
Yank Magazine, when Harvey was twenty years old and in the infantry.

This was new to me, but may have hit the Web when it was first published on Open Salon in August.
It still boggles my mind how Hugh Hefner got him and Elder to sell out so completely that all they ended up doing for the rest of their careers was that terrible "Little Annie Fannie."
