My friend Ger Apeldoorn shows us a bunch of Gardner Rea cartoons.
Rea was one of those "clean line cartoonists," and I agree with Ger that he's up there with Gluyas Williams and Otto Soglow. And, if we're being completests, I would add George McManus and Hergé to that list.
You are right. Hergé took a lot from McManus ánd Williams.
