The garden as of mid-August. With so much rain, and little sun, the plants are not all green and bushy as usual. Scant tomatoes, cucumbers. I don’t think we will see any peppers or eggplant at all. The eggplant blooms a lovely purple flower, then I get excited and then the bloom falls off -- and no eggplant is actually produced. This has happened over and over. The zinnias and other flowers are looking pretty good. But, in terms of actual food from the garden, kind of a bust this year. But the finches are loving eating the zinnia seeds!
