There's so much to choose from that it's not easy to narrow it down. But I did want to include an example of Davis' book illustration style, which is distinctly different from his usual cartoon approach.
Also Flashback magazine, which Russ Jones and I edited in the early 1970s. All three issues had Davis covers. One showed Bogart holding a limp Woody Woodpecker, but I should have done a rough because my gag got lost when Russ described it to Davis and forgot to mention that it was supposed to be a statue of Woody Woodpecker (as a reference to The Maltese Falcon).
