Battlestar Galactica's SciFi Channel Web site has a whole-story-in-3-minutes-video that brings one up to speed for the new season premier on October 6th.
And there are a series of preseason "Webisodes," that will lead up to the premiere. Executive Producer Ron Moore emphasizes in his blog:
-------------
As you may or may not know, SciFi.com has begun posting a series of Galactica "Webisodes" on SciFi Pulse this week. Each Tues and Thurs they're going to put up a new 'sode, leading up to to the premiere of Season Three on October 6th. We're very excited about the Webisodes and I think they're unlike anything anyone has done in this arena to date, so I hope you'll all take a moment to check them out.
It's important to know that these Webisodes weren't done haphazardly or on the fly in between takes of the regular show.
I was not ready to like this show when I first heard of it and passed on looking at it until the end of its first year. My mistake. It's got some skillful writing and can be tough and unsparing in its view. And, like Star Trek, there are situations in outer space that resonate with what is going on in the world today.
And the show won a Peabody, which ain't too bad.
Nice thing is that show is on DVD and on iTunes and so on. Easy to get aboard.
Lots more at the Galactica Station Blogspot.
