More vintage gag cartoons from YOU'VE GOT ME IN THE SUBURBS, edited by Lawrence Lariar and copyright 1957 by Mr. Lariar. Published by Dodd, Mead and Company in NYC.
That Zipup Prefabricated Homes cartoon idea is awesome.
I remember reading through old cartoons like these at my grandparents' house as a girl — comics almost exclusively about husband-wife wars — and feeling just awful about the prospect of life being like that when I got "old". Uck. Thankfully, today is a much more enjoyable world. Or at least in my neck of the woods. :-)
