Video: THE THREE STOOGES 2012 Movie Trailer

Yes. A new 3 STOOGES movie. And with Will Sasso as Curley.

Not sure how I feel about it, but I am looking forward to Paperkutz new 2 STOOGES comic penciled by the one and only Stan Goldberg. No previews on that right now, but I hope they'll be coming soon!

Hat tip to the one and only Bobby London!

EDIT: this isn't the first time a classic comedy team has been reimagined. Does anyone remember the "new Laurel and Hardy" movie: THE ALL NEW ADVENTURES OF LAUREL AND HARDY IN FOR LOVE OR MUMMY (1999)?

When I first heard about this movie being made, I assumed it was going to be a biopic. Which would have been interesting considering the fascinating lives of the stooges. I still had reservations because I didn't feel any actor could properly portray the Stooges as I've come to love them. Now seeing that the movie is going to be a lame, set in modern times, comedy, it makes me a little mad that they would make something so foolish out of the work of true comedy geniuses. Of course that's just my opinion, I'm sure many people will love the movie and it will make millions.

The 3 Stooges' humor has a timeless quality about it. It is funny in any age, BUT the specialness of it is in the original packaging. Just as one can do a remake of the Wizard of Oz, no one can recapture the quality of the original which was timeless. So, it is with The 3 Stooges. That's also why, after Curly's death, all of the Curly replacements were NEVER up to snuff. It was never as good after his death. (Yeah, I know Shemp was there before Curly!) But, if you take a vote, the REAL 3 Stooges, the classic 3 Stooges, the 3 Stooges at their best was Curly, Moe, and Larry. There's always some who want to disagree, but come on...Curly, Moe, and Larry were the real magic we know as the essence of the THREE STOOGES.
