TV Guide was, like a lot of the major magazines of that time, a gag cartoon market. Here are all four cartoons from this issue.

Barbara Feldon made all the guys go pop.

And I can't believe TV Guide still exists. I edited the weekly TV section of the newspaper back in 1999 and it was already a dinosaur. We carried the grid in the daily paper for the same reason we carried the bridge column -- the demographic that cared was tiny but wrote letters.
