Chuck Jones was a great director for many cartoons (and he was the first cartoonist I ever met). He was also a painter, an animator and producer. He's best known for his work on the Bugs Binny and Tom and Jerry cartoons -- in addition to some seminal TV specials like The Grinch. So, usually, he was drawing animals and other non-human characters. Here are some drawings of people from his Warner Brothers cartoons. Some were featured in one cartoon, but a lot were just unnamed characters in the background of the story. Now these are a lot of fun and it's amazing to see the wealth of shapes and expressions used here. Hat tip to Antonio Marques!
