A 1963 issue of Pete Millar's DRAG CARTOONS magazine featured this 5 page story by the one and only Alex Toth. Pappy's Golden Age Blogzine showcases some nice, clean scans from the original art and gives us the background story on Craftint paper.
I couldn't resist driving by Alex's old pad (his address circa '63 is on the art) as it's near where I live. I didn't disturb the current owners, but it looked like a very comfortable home. Just below a large mountain, wide streets, quiet, a nice yard, palm trees galore... kind of 50's modern, a very stylish, well designed house from my brief look. I was just curious as to what sort of home Toth would choose to live in way back when.
