Seth Rogen's GREEN HORNET

Here is the new trailer to THE GREEN HORNET feature film due out in January 11.

Hard to say how this may distinguish itself from a lot of other loud, violent movies arriving at the multiplex. Rogen and Chou sure look good, but the plot is right outta a 1940s comic book. Won't this generation find it laughable that a newspaper publisher (Rogen's Dad in the movie, played by Tom Wilkinson) can be -- uh -- powerful? And a threat to the mob/crips/bloods?

And what's the age difference between Rogen and Cameron Diaz?

Big hat tip to Comic Riffs!

Man, what a mistake this movie looks like. I mean---Rogen as the Green Hornet? It's his project, but when he brought it to the studio, were the execs smoking crack?

Everything else about the film looks like it could work except for making the hero a doofus. Truly, the trailer makes Kato look like the hero and GH the bumbling sidekick.

Oh, and the media mogul dad is hopefully involved in more than newspapers.

Good point about the Dad -- maybe he's like Murdoch, except good.

My feeling is that if the movie is any good, it'll chronicle Rogen's character arc from self-obsessed wastoid to avenging hero.

Heck, I believed Michael Keaton as Batman -- so who knows! This could be a good.

No wonder the original Green Hornet program was known as The Kato Show in China.

Catching up on the blog, I first read that the Baltimore Oriole(R)(tm)(C)(Pat Pend) has been bought out by MLB.

Now when I try to look at the preview video promoting a movie, I get the message "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

What don't the lawyers want me to see???
