The Garden As of Mid-July 2017

Jungle-like!

All three raised beds, with volunteer tomato plants and sunflowers.

This is a bed full of zinnias ... and those interloper tomatoes and sunflowers. Plus: petunias. I don't know where they came from.

The "real" tomatoes -- the ones that were actually planted and planned for -- are in the cages here. And there are the usual volunteers. "Volunteers" is a for-real gardening term for plants that appear although you did not plant them. There are some actual planted cucumbers in the back as well, but they have not started producing yet.

Honestly, this bed is now officially off the grid. Nothing to see here. The lupines are done and now the grass (and sunflowers) are taking over.

Flower time! And there are lots of bees this year.
