Point of order: Adams isn't supporting Trump, any more than a scientist supports the effects of climate change. He's calmly making a prediction, based on his belief that Trump is incredibly good at persuasion and manipulation. He's been analyzing Trump's statements and debate performances for a while now, pointing out things like "linguistic kill shots" that stick like glue regardless of factual reality.
