Sue Wunder writes about how reading Classics Illustrated comics started her reading habit in today's Christian Science Monitor.
"[The comics] might have horrified the original authors, but the little comics utterly absorbed me."
Hat tip to Dirk Deppey.

Wonderful memories of Classics Illustrated have been coming in from all over the world. The great news is that the latest generation can have the same experince too.
Classics Illustrated and Classics Illustrated Junior are being published again by Classic Comic Stores in the UK. Same wonderful titles, but artwork made crisper digitally and colouring updated for todays audience. Gloss paper and perfect binding (not staples)make the new issues pretty much perfect for kids (big and small) schools and libraries. My favourite is Les Miserables.........whats yours?
