I have a cold. Nothing serious, but a lot of coughing and sneezing. It's either because to all those hours spent snowblowing or breathing in the carbon monoxide from the snowblower ....

Web Sites Down

The Web sites I manage (my own, HeyKidsComics.com, and the NCS Long Island chapter BerndtToastGang.com sites) are going from old and lousy server to new and improved server.

They will, therefore, be down from time to time.

On the Road

I'm on the road the rest of this week. I was driving yesterday afternoon, listening to left wing talk radio and then right wing talk radio. And then I got tired of all the yak yak yak and tuned in an oldies station -- REAL oldies -- like Crosby, Sinatra, etc. Ahh. That relaxed me.

Not going to have a chance to blog for a time.

I think there will be an announcement about a memorial service for Jay Kennedy. Check the other blogs ....

Mike's World and Welcome To It

My cartoonist pal Mark Anderson's 3 year old son has put together a depiction (using his preferred medium of Duplo blocks and toys and stuffed animals) of my NYC habitat at the Andertoons blog.

I'm honored and flattered ...

... But I'm still wondering about that blue guy in the bedroom with my wife, Stacy, and our 2 kitties!

Stacy denies ever meeting a blue M&M, and has referred me to her counsel.

RSS/RLS Feed

Avast, there, me hardies!

Just got an email from a talented cartoonist who wanted to know if there was an RSS feed for the Mike Lynch Cartoons blog. I wrote back:

There's a link at the bottom of http://mikelynchcartoons.blogspot.com/ that reads: Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)

And, by clicking that, you SHOULD be able to get an RSS feed. I put SHOULD in capitals to denote the fact that I've never used that link myself and don't know for sure if it works. Another option: Firefox browsers have an RSS graphic at the top of the browser, just to the right of the URL. Clicking on that SHOULD (yes, again with all caps) do the trick -- if you use Firefox.

Arrr! While I don't know much about RSS yet, let me remind you Robert Louis Stevenson fans out there -- and you know who you are -- that scientists are working around the clock to perfect the new cool, new RLS feed!

Ha ha ha!

(I know. A wretched joke. I should walk the plank, etc. And I wonder why I don't get as much traffic as I did in 2006!)
