That was a good catch on the music, Bob. I'm guessing it was a rights clearance issue -- more likely, TO TELL THE TRUTH may have had no budget for music rights. I'm just guessing, but these programs were (and still are) cheap shows to produce. I'm just guessing, but maybe THE STARLOST was something that was owned by the network, whereas Paramount might have wanted a few bucks for the TREK theme; a few bucks that the game show producers would not pay.
